This Privacy Policy explains how Not Lost Or Found and Shannon Roberts collect, use, and share information through notlostorfound.com, its forms and free tools, and the Sky Daddy app.

Information you provide

When you join the email community, you may provide your name and email address. When you use the contact form, you may provide your name, email address, message, and any other information you choose to include. These submissions are processed through Wix Forms and may be stored in the connected Wix account so we can manage subscribers, respond to messages, prevent abuse, and keep appropriate business records.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information through a website form.

Email communications

If you subscribe, we may send Field Notes, free tools, site updates, and related Not Lost Or Found emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent a direct response to a message you sent or another necessary service communication.

Website usage and device information

Wix and its infrastructure providers may process technical information needed to host, secure, troubleshoot, and measure the website, such as IP address, browser and device type, request logs, pages viewed, referring page, approximate region, timestamps, and interactions with forms or site features. The site may place cookies or use similar technologies that are necessary for security, sessions, hosting, and basic operation.

Not Lost Or Found does not currently place third-party advertising trackers or use personal information to build advertising profiles. If nonessential advertising or analytics technologies are added later, this policy and any legally required notice or consent controls will be updated first.

Free tools and local storage

Some tools process your selections in your browser. Find Your Shot and the Northern Arizona Trip Matcher use your answers to generate results without creating an account. The Bucket List tool saves checked items in your browser’s local storage so your progress remains on that device. You can remove that information by clearing the site data in your browser.

Sky Daddy location

If you grant location permission in Sky Daddy, the app uses your device’s precise location to calculate local clouds, weather, moonlight, darkness, and Milky Way visibility. Your latitude and longitude are sent to Open-Meteo only to return the forecast needed for the app’s core functionality.

Sky Daddy does not create an account, store a history of your locations, use your location for advertising, or sell it. You can deny or revoke location access in your device settings. If permission is not granted, the app uses Sedona, Arizona as its default location.

How information is used

Information may be used to provide and improve the website and its tools; respond to messages; send requested email communications; understand which resources are useful; maintain security and prevent spam or misuse; comply with law; and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the site, its users, and others.

Service providers and external services

Information may be processed by service providers only as needed to perform services on our behalf. Current services include Wix for hosting, forms, contact management, site operations, and related infrastructure; and Open-Meteo for Sky Daddy forecast requests. Their handling of information is also governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Links to maps, parks, businesses, social networks, the App Store, and other external websites take you to services we do not control. Their privacy practices apply once you visit them.

How information is shared

Not Lost Or Found does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers working on our behalf; when you request or direct a disclosure; when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request; or to investigate fraud, abuse, security issues, or threats to rights and safety.

Retention

Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain business and consent records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with legal obligations. Retention periods can differ by record type and service provider.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you submitted, subject to legal and operational exceptions. Send a request through the contact page and include enough information to identify the relevant submission. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Children

The website and Sky Daddy are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

Security

Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information, but no website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Use care when deciding what to send online.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the site, app, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material updates are made.
